Our Work

Establishes regular lines of communication with state agencies who are administering funding and maintains a presence at planning meetings. Understands scope of work for state programs. Identifies key unions who should be seeking possible contracts or involved in workforce development and disseminates info to those groups.

Identifies existing training programs and builds relationships with those stakeholders in the interest of creating pipelines to union apprenticeships. Identifies gaps in training for state administered funding programs and key areas of project work (EE/RE residential, transmission/distribution upgrades, energy planning, etc.) and creates new programming to address those gaps.

Builds a network of key CBOs based in or working with disadvantaged/Justice 40 communities who are seeking/plan to seek federal funding. Identifies/understands both infrastructure and workforce development concerns/priorities for those communities. Generates labor & CBO partnerships on fed funding applications. Disseminates information about key priorities to state programs and apprenticeships.

Bolsters the existing work of stakeholders across the state by convening place-based Stakeholder Meetings and facilitates information sharing across Tennessee through the Labor at the Table Statewide Network.
